Better together

As I was talking with a client recently, she suddenly sighed and said, “I should be able to do this myself!” It’s something professional organizers hear quite a bit. Tidying up, tossing out old stuff, putting your keys back on a hook — why is that hard? The truth is, some of it isn’t hard … but there’s also usually more to it than that.

Depending on your project, organizing can be overwhelming (where to start?) and often involves lots of decision making. It can be immensely helpful to have an extra set of hands, as well as someone who is not emotionally tied to the items that need to be organized.

Working with a professional organizer is kind of like working with a personal trainer. Of course you can work out on your own. But a trainer keeps you accountable, motivates and encourages you, and can offer exercises designed for your specific needs. Similarly, a professional organizer will keep you focused, be your cheerleader, and offer solutions for your particular challenges.

Plus, it is way more fun to organize together!
