Down to the wire

I recently had the opportunity to work with someone whose closet was jam packed with clothes on wire hangers. In addition to helping the client sort through and purge many old shirts and pants, I also urged her to consider upgrading her hangers. As I looked around at all of those pointy steel arms, it occurred to me that wire hangers bring an inherent tension and negative energy to a closet. How could they be anything but tense and stressed with their necks all twisted up like that? They are just too ready to cause a ruckus and tangle with their neighbors. Not to mention the harm they can cause your clothing β€” poking and stretching things out of shape with those needle arms.

Dry cleaners will typically welcome a donation of wire hangers. So let them handle those skinny brawlers! Meanwhile, you can welcome a troupe of peace-loving hangers to your closet and enjoy the serenity they bring.
